Different Wagers in the Game of Craps

If you are the type of player that spends most of their free time looking for ways and techniques on how to improve your game, chances are that you have read a lot of techniques that guarantees you a good result in gambling games like craps.

The truth is that most casinos have been in the business for a very long time. Casinos must not lose a lot of money if they want to stay in the business. In any casino table game, the house will always possess the edge over the player.

As the game progresses, they will have more money compared to what you will win from the casinos. This is true for both land based casinos and online casinos. So why do a lot of people believe in the strategies that they found out there, stating all the ways that they need to follow in a certain casino game, not just craps?

One reason may be that people like to convince themselves that there is some way to beat the house edge and make lots of money from playing. A lot of gambling techniques may or may not be useful, but a player has to look for the bigger picture.

No gambling technique is going to help you win all the time, because that would be totally impossible. A thorough understanding of what techniques of play limit the casino edge can help to improve your odds.

One way to do this is on the type of wagers you make. Some of the optimum wagers in craps are the come wager and the don't come wager.

These wagers are put into numbers that are together with a point number. Once the point number has been rolled, the player can then put their chips on the "come" place. If the next number that will appear is a seven or an eleven, you will win the wager.

If the number is a two, three or a twelve, you will lose the wager. If the number that will appear is anything else, your chips will be put to that number that is located on the table. This number will be the player's personal point number. If it surfaces again before a seven, then the player will win the wager. A seven coming first means that you lose the game.

The don't come wagers work in a different way. A player will win if a two or three comes and a twelve will be achieved in the push (the wager is returned). The player would not want their point number to show up before the next seven shows up or otherwise the player will lose.

Next is the pass and the do not pass. The casino edge on the pass wagers are low, which is at 1.41% percent and even smaller on the Do not Pass wager at 1.4% percent. When the player puts chips on the pass section on the come out roll, the player will win if a seven or an eleven appeared.

The come-out roll has the optimum odds for the pass wagers to win. If the roll is not a seven or eleven, the money is dependent on the point number being shown again before a seven or an eleven comes out. The Don't Pass Wagers will win if a two or three is rolled during the come out, so the Don't pass option is a lot riskier during the roll.

Once the designated point number comes out, the Don't pass wagers have a higher percentage of winning than the pass wagers because a seven has the largest odds of the come out roll.

There are a lot of wagering options in craps but these two simple wagers are the optimum options for beginners in the game and for advanced players in craps. They do not give out a lot of money but the odds are better compared to any other type of wager.
